Ingredients

Scale

Biscuit Layer

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

Filling

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 jar (15 oz) Alfredo sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Cheese

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it’s at the perfect temperature once your ingredients are ready.
  2. Prepare Biscuit Dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate each biscuit. Cut each biscuit into quarters or smaller pieces to evenly distribute throughout the bake.
  3. Mix Filling Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken, Alfredo sauce, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
  4. Assemble the Bake: In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spread a layer of biscuit pieces on the bottom. Pour half of the chicken Alfredo mixture over the biscuits, then sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses. Repeat with the remaining biscuit pieces, chicken mixture, and finish with the remaining cheeses on top.
  5. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and cooked through and the cheese is bubbling and melted.
  6. Cool and Serve: Allow the dish to cool for about 5 minutes before serving to let the bake set slightly for easy slicing.

Notes

  • You can use leftover rotisserie chicken or any cooked chicken for convenience.
  • For added flavor, sprinkle some fresh parsley or basil on top before serving.
  • If you prefer a spicier option, add red pepper flakes or chopped jalapeños to the filling mixture.
  • Make sure the biscuit dough is fully cooked through by testing with a toothpick inserted in the thickest part; it should come out clean.
  • This dish pairs well with a crisp green salad or steamed vegetables for a balanced meal.
