Ingredients

Scale

Biscuits

  • 1 can (16 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough

Chicken & Sauce

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 jar (15 oz) Alfredo sauce

Cheese & Seasoning

  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking the dish evenly.
  2. Prepare Biscuit Dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Cut each biscuit into quarters or small pieces to be mixed into the casserole.
  3. Mix Chicken and Sauce: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded cooked chicken with the jar of Alfredo sauce. Stir in Italian seasoning and garlic powder to enhance the flavor.
  4. Combine All Ingredients: Gently fold the biscuit pieces into the chicken and Alfredo sauce mixture until well combined.
  5. Assemble the Bake: Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Evenly sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top.
  6. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the biscuits are cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly with a golden brown color.
  7. Rest and Serve: Remove from the oven and let the casserole rest for about 5 minutes before serving to allow it to set slightly for easier slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Use rotisserie chicken or any leftover cooked chicken for convenience.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the chicken mixture.
  • Make sure to grease the baking dish well to prevent sticking.
  • If you prefer a spicier dish, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • The bake can be prepared a few hours ahead and refrigerated until baking.
