A delicious and comforting Chicken Alfredo Garlic Bread recipe featuring tender seasoned chicken breasts on a crispy Italian loaf, smothered with a buttery garlic and parsley spread that’s perfect for an indulgent appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 2 small chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons poultry seasoning (or salt, pepper, garlic powder)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Garlic Butter Spread

  • 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter (12 tablespoons), softened
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic (or garlic paste)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Bread

  • 1 Italian style loaf

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken: Slice the small chicken breasts into thin strips or bite-sized pieces. Season with poultry seasoning or a mix of salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken pieces until golden and cooked through, approximately 6-8 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Make Garlic Butter Spread: In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter with the minced garlic, chopped parsley, and crushed red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.
  3. Prepare the Bread: Cut the Italian style loaf in half lengthwise to create two large flat pieces. Spread a generous layer of the garlic butter mixture evenly over both halves.
  4. Assemble and Bake: Evenly distribute the cooked chicken pieces on top of the garlic butter spread on both halves of the loaf. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the bread halves on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the bread is toasted and the butter is melted and bubbly.
  5. Serve: Remove the garlic bread from the oven, let it cool slightly, then slice into serving pieces. Enjoy warm as a delicious appetizer or side.

Notes

  • You can substitute poultry seasoning with Italian seasoning for a different flavor profile.
  • For extra richness, sprinkle shredded Parmesan or mozzarella cheese over the chicken before baking.
  • If you prefer less heat, omit the crushed red pepper flakes.
  • The recipe works great with other bread types like French baguette or ciabatta.
  • Store leftovers sealed in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 2 days for best freshness.
