Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

Slider Assembly

  • 12 slider buns
  • Honey mustard sauce: 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise (optional for creaminess)
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the chicken. Season the chicken breasts or thighs with salt and pepper. Cook them thoroughly in a skillet over medium heat for about 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for a few minutes.
  2. Prepare the honey mustard sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, mayonnaise (if using), apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
  3. Shred and coat the chicken. Using two forks, shred the cooked chicken into bite-sized pieces. Toss the shredded chicken with the prepared honey mustard sauce until evenly coated.
  4. Assemble the sliders. Slice slider buns in half. Fill each bottom bun with a generous amount of honey mustard chicken, then top with the bun tops. Serve immediately while warm.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken as a shortcut to reduce cooking time.
  • Add pickles or lettuce to the sliders for extra crunch if desired.
  • These sliders are best served fresh but can be refrigerated for up to 2 days.
  • For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or hot sauce to the honey mustard sauce.
