Ingredients

Scale

Pecan Pie Filling

  • 3/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg

Dough

  • 1 can Pillsbury Crescent Rolls (8 oz can)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and allow it to preheat fully to ensure even baking.
  2. Prepare the filling: In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, light corn syrup, melted unsalted butter, vanilla extract, and the large egg until smooth and well combined. Stir in the chopped pecans to evenly distribute them within the mixture.
  3. Unroll crescent dough: Open the can of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls and carefully unroll the dough onto a clean surface. Separate the dough into the pre-cut triangles as indicated on the packaging.
  4. Add the filling: Spoon approximately 1 to 2 tablespoons of the pecan filling onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle. Be careful not to overfill to prevent leakage during baking.
  5. Roll the crescent rolls: Starting from the wide end with the filling, roll each triangle toward the pointed end, forming a crescent shape. Place the rolls on an ungreased baking sheet with the pointed end underneath to help seal them.
  6. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the filling is bubbling slightly.
  7. Cool and serve: Remove from the oven and let the rolls cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature for the best flavor.

Notes

  • For added flavor, sprinkle a little cinnamon on the filling before rolling the dough.
  • Make sure not to overfill the crescent rolls to prevent filling from leaking during baking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Reheat gently before serving.
  • These rolls can also be served with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for a decadent dessert.
