Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with minced garlic until browned and cooked through, breaking it up into crumbles.
  2. Add Seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning packet with the cooked beef, mixing well to evenly coat the meat with spices.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In the crock pot, combine the cooked beef mixture, frozen shredded hashbrowns, cheddar cheese soup, and 1 cup of the shredded taco style cheese. Stir thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
  4. Cook in Crock Pot: Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the hashbrowns are tender.
  5. Add Remaining Cheese: About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded taco style cheese on top. Cover again and let the cheese melt.
